Art therapy

Art therapy means treatment with art, in the narrower sense it means treatment with visual arts. It is a psychotherapeutic method that uses creative activities, namely drawing, painting and modeling. The main goal of art therapy is the development of creativity, communication, and self-expression for all people who participate in the art therapy process. Overall, it allows expressing emotions, relieves tension, helps to understand others and above all oneself and helps to overcome various problems. Cooperation takes place in two ways – artistic expression and verbal communication. I use this therapy individually but also in group form. If a person tends to draw, I will include it in the proposal of the solution. Similar to the talk therapy, I will include it in the solution proposal when the client needs a more relaxing form of therapy.
